Cheestick Dog Chews are made from a traditional Nepalese recipe for “chhurpi”. A chhurpi is a type of hard cheese made in the Himalayan regions of Nepal and Tibet. It is typically made from yak or Himalayan cow milk.

An all natural snack, it is made using only three ingredients: milk, salt and lime juice. Typically eaten by humans, our chhurpi’s have been adapted as a long-lasting and healthy snack chew for dogs. Cheestick Dog Chews are gluten-free, grain-free, contain no binding agents and no artificial flavours or preservatives. The perfect all natural, healthy treat for your dog!

How It's Made

Cheestick Dog Chews are produced following a traditional recipe that has been passed down for generations. It includes zero artificial ingredients or preservatives. Just all natural ingredients used to process the finest chews.

Milk is collected from grass-fed, free range cows by farmers and sent for processing.
The milk is then boiled to 90 degrees to get rid of any microbes or bacteria and to separate fats from the milk.
Then, lime juice and himalayan salt is added to the skimmed milk to speed up the coagulation process.
The cheese is tightly packed into jute cloths to remove extra moisture.
The semi-hardened cheese is cut into preferred shapes and smoked to harden.
The Cheesticks reach Kathmandu for processing, sorting and quality control.
